Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) in Belagavi recently organized a Motivational talk for its First Year students, featuring Mr. Basavaraj Umrani, renowned as the “Human Computer” from Athani. The event aimed to inspire and encourage students towards academic excellence and personal growth.
In his engaging address, Mr. Basavaraj Umrani emphasized the transformative power of knowledge, stating, “Knowledge can change the world.” He debunked the notion that mathematics is difficult, employing direct and inverse methods to illustrate its concepts. His insightful techniques aimed to facilitate easier mathematical practice among students.
Despite facing visual impairment, Mr. Basavaraj Umrani shared his remarkable journey, highlighting the importance of utilizing one’s abilities optimally. He conveyed gratitude for the gift of teaching and a formidable memory, enabling him to impart motivational wisdom to thousands.
Mr. Basavaraj Umrani’s remarkable intellect and unwavering positivity have earned him recognition from various media outlets and communities. Renowned as “The Walking Computer,” he astounds with his ability to perform complex calculations and provide precise temporal information effortlessly.
Dr. Kiran Potadar, the First Year coordinator and Head of Mathematics, Mr. Ashpak Pathan, Mr. Sangamesh I. S, Mr. N C Sabarad, Ms. Sneha Murari, and all the faculty of Basic Science, graced the event with their presence. The occasion featured a captivating welcome song by Supriya Patil from the Computer Science Engineering branch, and Nikitha Javor adeptly conducted the proceedings as the anchor.
