Department of Civil Engineering, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management -AITM, Belagavi organized Airport Visit for Civil Engineering students.
A session was conducted by Mr. Bala, Airport Civil Engineer at Belagavi. He explained about the scenarios in airport operation. Students were allowed to see the functioning of each unit of the airport and their queries were also answered by the airport engineer.
He gave us all general information regarding the Terminal Building, Air Traffic Control Room, Signal Towers, Runway, Taxiway, apron, cooling pit, Aviation light Signals etc.
Undoubtedly this visit contributed a whole lot of knowledge transfer from the field engineer to the students. Assistant Professor’s from Department of Civil Engineering accompanied the students.
