In a remarkable display of commitment to cleanliness and hygiene, Angadi Institute of Technology and Management-AITM, Belagavi organized a special campaign as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative, with the theme “Swachhata Hi Seva” (Cleanliness is Service).
The highlight of the campaign was the “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” (One Date, One Hour) event, which witnessed an enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members alike. The campaign at AITM took place on October 1, 2023 in association with NSS where students and staff members voluntarily dedicated one hour of their time in cleaning activities within the college campus.
Dr. Anand Deshpande, Principal & Director, AITM, Dr. Kiran Potadar, NSS Program Officer, Placement Officer, HOD’s and staff were present during the campaign. The campaign began with a special assembly, where the significance of cleanliness and its impact on the environment and health were discussed.
Speaking about the campaign, Dr. Anand Deshpande said, “We believe that cleanliness is not just a duty but a way of life. The ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta’ campaign has allowed our students to actively contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment. It is heartening to see such enthusiasm among our students and staff.”
The campaign not only aimed at improving the cleanliness of the campus but also instilled a sense of responsibility and community service among the participants.
