Blood Donation Camp

AITM in collaboration with Lions Club and KLE Society’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & M.R.C Belagavi, successfully organized a blood donation camp on the 15th of March, 2024, within the premises of AITM.

 

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout with students and staff members of AITM enthusiastically volunteering to donate blood for the noble cause. Over 60 individuals graciously donated blood, contributing to the enhancement of blood reserves for medical emergencies.

 

The initiative was headed by Dr. Anand Deshpande, Principal & Director of AITM, along with Shri. Raju Joshi, Administrator, SAEF, Prof. Sangeeta Desai, Principal of AIS and ACCS, Dr. Kiran Potadar, Programme Officer NSS, Dr. Vijay Kulkarni, Programme Officer Red Cross unit, and Prof. M. V. Kanthi.

 

The medical support and supervision were efficiently provided by Dr. Ramesh Chavan, Dr. Vitthal Mane, and other medical officers from KLE Hospital. Additionally, the active participation of Shri. S. V. Viragi, Incharge, Dr. Aravind Jadhav, Physician Asst., Mr. Ramesh Jttanavar, P.R.O., and representatives from Lion’s Club including Somanath Kolaki, President, and members such as Giridhar Galagali, B. K. Patil, Bharti Badawi, and Rajashekhar Hiremath, added immense value to the event.

 

The collaborative effort and dedication of HODs from various departments, staff members, and students underscored the commitment to serving the community and saving lives through blood donation.

 

AITM extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, volunteers, and organizers for their unwavering support and contribution to this humanitarian cause. Such initiatives not only demonstrate the spirit of altruism but also reaffirm the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
